Ready Eddie Go! is a TV series produced by Hocus Pocus Studio and commissioned by Sky Kids.
The series follows 6-year-old Eddie who is autistic, as he navigates everyday real-life experiences for the very first time and offers bitesize ‘how to’ guides for an array of life scenarios: dressing up; exploring new foods; playing a board game; hosting a visitor. Each episode walks Eddie and his friends, step-by-step, through the day’s upcoming activity, with plenty of playful cutaways and fun set-pieces along the way. With his family and friends cheering him on, Eddie learns to play his way and learns strategies that will help him next time that situation arises. This series is able to help many children by learning what to expect visually in new situations and environments.
I had the pleasure of collaborating and being part of the Compositing team for various episodes. This involved: comping and organizing the full 3D sequences and assets in After Effects, creating fun 2D animated graphics, tracking assets onto footage, colour correction and enhancing scenes and environments.
